The world is talking about Coronavirus and how the virus creates disruption and havoc in our everyday life. One of the industries deeply affected due to the coronavirus outbreak is the entertainment industry. Nowadays, all we hear is the production of several television shows and movies are shutting down due to the novel coronavirus. Marvel’s  Black Widow comes as no exception.

As we know, the movie is going to come out on 1st May 2020.However, it no longer is going to make it to the screen and is facing uncertain delay.

On 18th March, Marvel makes the announcement making fans impatient and unhappy than ever. The wait for the movie is now going to be indefinite as Marvel gives us no notice whatsoever regarding the movie’s future release date.

Black Widow: The Position Of MCU For The Delay

The delay in movie also means the delay in other movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The news suggests that the Black Widow is going to come out sometime in November now. Chances are it is going to overlap with Marvel’s The Eternals.

However, because of the coronavirus we also have production of other Marvel movies shutting down.

Black WidowTherefore, the entire phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to face a delay and all the movies are going to come out late.

Although the delay is a crucial drawback, it is an important step. As we know, movie theatres and places of entertainment gathering are shutting down one by one.

In these times, if Marvel goes forward with releasing Black Widow the loss they are going to obtain from the box office ratings is going to be shameful.

Indeed, it is a very strategic step financially too for the entire Marvel team.

Black Widow is expected to be the biggest hits of 2020. This is the first time after Captain Marvel, that Marvel takes the opportunity to tell the story of a female superhero.
